Embark goes up!
Typically, since it's been dry here for weeks, the rain poured down yesterday - yesterday being the day earmarked to install my work for the Embark series on the King Harry Ferry. It was feeling like one of those days, the sort where I listen to Laura Cantrell's 2 Seconds and burst in to tears for no apparent reason (sad to say that really happened). But by 4.30 it had all but stopped and out came the sunshine; it was cold in the shade though, waiting for the ferry to come in. A couple of hours later, after some splendid team-work from Matt Pontin and Paul Chaney, the work was stuck to the walls and that was that. Sorted.
I need some time to reflect on it and how it looks in that environment before I pass any comments. I plan to go back and have another look at it soon though and will let you know what I think. It'll be good just to people-watch for a while and see how others react to it - there were a few appreciative murmurs when it was being installed, which was encouraging - if unexpected!
There are more pictures of the individual images on my website on the following page http://www.stephanieboon.co.uk/html/portfolio_pages/embark.htm.
