Twitch, twitch

This post is coffee induced. Frankly I'm on my 3rd humungous cup in the last couple of hours and I'm a bit twitchy. I sanctimoniously gave up drinking coffee at home several years ago, reserving it as a 'special treat' for when I went out. Lately though I've found myself increasingly drawn to cafes; the smell is intoxicating. I started off by thinking it was okay, I could handle it as long as I stuck to the hot chocolate or the decaf. I don't know how, but at the cafe counter the luscious caffeine-full cups have been insidiously replacing those with the non-active ingredient and when I get back to my table I think dammit, I forgot to order decaf... Did I really forget though?

I was in the lovely Tesco recently and looking for my usual fruit tea, but was instead drawn to a rather large bag of Italian roast coffee - just for Sunday morning breakfast, you understand. A special treat on a 'special' day of the week. But surely if I reserve a bag that large for Sundays only it will go off and be a complete waste of money. I'd better drink it up before that. In fact I'm feeling soooo tired in the middle of the day, which just isn't natural, so what I need is a caffeine hit, obviously. Oh I remember, there's that lovely bag of coffee in the cupboard...

Beware: it's so easy to be drawn in. Must get out the scissors and cut up the bag. Must remember to put the grounds in the soil and kill some weeds with it. Must remember to wear blinkers in the coffee isle in Tesco. Must remember to wear a peg on my nose in cafes. Must remember how hyper I was on 12 cups of coffee a day. Oh god, someone please remind me how bad I am now and that 12 cups of coffee won't add anything to the effect... (See, 3 posts today and I've only had 3 cups - just imagine what 12 cups would be like.)
