Dawn at South Wheal Frances
I went over to South Wheal Frances near Camborne at dawn one morning, to record the sound of the dawn chorus, and took these photos. I wanted the recording for an audio piece that I made for the Wheal Art Weekend event (see other posts). It was very atmospheric at that time of day, apart from the sound of the A30 traffic droning in the background... The weather was perfect, but it didn't last. Just before the start of the event the torrential rain began - and continued for most of the day! It was still very atmospheric, but not good for cameras - or visitors. The weather was far better on the Sunday though, and we had around 200 people come to the event.
