Feeling Festive

I don't think there have been enough pictures on the blog for a while, and since I haven't got any interesting ones of my own I thought I'd share this particularly festive one with you!

My fellow artist Sovay Berriman has come up with the fantastic idea for Santa's Secret £10 Tombola - THE way to buy a piece of contemporary art for only ten quid! How fantastic is that? Well, I think it's brilliant!

A number of artists have provided gift-wrapped artworks, that will be uniquely numbered, then budding art collectors can pay £10 to buy a ticket. They then get the gift-wrapped artwork that matches the number on their ticket, which of course is still all wrapped up in lovely festive paper so they have no idea what it is or who made it.

The whole event kicks off on Saturday at a venue in the middle of Redruth, where festive music and mince pies have been promised to accompany the fun. If you're in the area, come along and join in - you never know what wonderful gift Santa might have waiting for you!
