The metropolis

Been up to the 'big', beautiful city of Exeter today - almost a 2 hour drive each way... Went to a meeting with a bunch of people from the Cornish Hedge Research and Education Group to discuss funding with Heritage Lottery for a project they're putting together. I can't work out how or why I got roped into this, but it probably has something to do with the promise of payment for some art workshops they want me to run... I've even agreed to turn up at the local agricultural show next week (gratis) - something I have never done before, or ever aspired to. (Can you blame me?!) Something tells me I may be putting more into this than I ever planned. Maybe it's time to pull on the reigns. I mean, I went all that way to Exeter and didn't even get to go to Spacex; something is definitely not right with that. Still they are a great group of people and it's fantastic to mix with scientists for a change - they don't even have beards!!!
